Falcons News · Falcons keep the Battle of the Nest trophy safe

It was a sold out crowd in Falcon stadium as Pebblebrook took on their neighboring rival the South Cobb Eagles. The Falcons have held the “Battle of the Nest trophy for two years straight and were determined to keep it there according to head coach Leroy Hood.

After a disappointing loss against Peachtree Ridge, a week prior, the Falcon fans were happy to have a home field advantage. “We always play better at home,” said one Pebblebrook fan. “They played a great game last week but tonight will be different. This is South Cobb and we have to keep that trophy.”

Pebblebrook QB Craig Adams’ five touchdowns, three of which were made by wide receiver Damion Thompson, gave the Falcons the 40-21 win, keeping that shiny trophy safe and sound in the hands of Pebblebrook.

Other TDs were made by wide receiver Thomas Holmes and running back Shannon Peyton.
