Falcons News · NBA Draft & Summer League Recap with Collin Sexton

With the 8th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers select Collin Sexton from the University of Alabama. This was the sound byte heard all around the world on June 21, 2018 and one that the Pebblebrook Falcon Family celebrated as like anticipated our very own Collin Sexton, a 2017 Alumnus stood up and was congratulated by his parents, family and his college Coach, Avery Johnson, and headed to the stage to join the NBA Commissioner Adam Silva.

Collin was all smiles and social media erupted with Pebblebrook alumni, his former classmates, and friends celebrating with him and wishing him well. Shortly after being drafted, Collin was off to the races participating with his new team as part of the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas where he put up impressive numbers and help take his team to the semi finals barely missing a trip to the Summer League Championship Game. Collin embodied his nickname Young Bull with a defensive stance and stare against the Lakers Josh Hart that exploded all over the Internet in the hours that followed the end of the game. Collin was also named to the Summer League First Team, an awesome closing to his first experience as an NBA player.

As the NBA Pre-season begins we want to congratulate Collin and wish him well as he begins his new career in the NBA as a Cleveland Cavalier.
