Boys Varsity Basketball · Falcons Win the 2-7A Regional Championship!

If there was ever a game that kept you on the edge of your seat, the Pebblebrook vs Wheeler is one of them. This was the most exciting game that I’ve seen in a while and this is undeniably the best team of players in Pebblebrook history. They have proven that playing unselfishly leads to winning games.

For nearly three quarters the Falcons were down by at least four points. But they always take flight and never give up. With 1:13 to go in the 4th and the Falcons down by 4, powerhouse Josh Graham lays up a 3 pointer to cut the lead to 60-59.

The Falcons gain control of the ball with 7.7 seconds on the clock. The Falcons lose the ball with a steal from Wheeler but with the determination and diligence of guard Dwight Murray, the Falcons gain control again. Murray gets the ball to Grant Howard and he lays up a floating buzzer beater with .1 left on the clock to win the game for Pebblebrook 61-60.

The Falcons will host the “at large” next week in the first round of the State Championship.
